Review: 4th SEE Regional Capital Markets Conference in Vienna
On 5 November 2009, the stock exchanges of Ljubljana, Zagreb, Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Podgorica, Skopje and Belgrade held the 4th joint regional SEE capital markets investor conference, this time in Vienna. Its aim was to promote the regional capital markets and leading listed companies, as well as to strengthen relations between international investors and companies.
Representatives of 19 companies listed on the participating stock exchanges and 50 international and Austrian investors attended the event, which had been organized by the Ljubljana Stock Exchange in cooperation with the Belgrade Stock Exchange and Raiffeisen Centrobank. In addition to group presentations, over 100 one-on-one meetings had been scheduled between company representatives and investors.
The LJSE-listed companies attending the Vienna road show were:
- Mercator (retailer)
- Zavarovalnica Triglav (insurance company)
- Nova KBM (banking sector) and
- Telekom Slovenije
The promotion of regional listed companies to portfolio investors is one of the activities within the scope of a Memorandum of Partnership signed by the SEE stock exchanges in December 2007.
