CEESEG - The CEE Stock Exchange Group

The largest player in Central and Eastern Europe

The CEE Stock Exchange Group (CEESEG) consists of the four stock exchanges of

  • Budapest
  • Ljubljana
  • Prague, and
  • Vienna.

The Group entered the international exchange landscape as a new, strong actor in September 2009; it is the largest stock exchange group in the Central and Eastern European region.

To attract international attention for the member exchanges of CEESEG and to raise liquidity in the four markets, the CEE Stock Exchange Group eases market access and trading on the local markets.

Values: home market principle & internationalization

The four members of CEESEG work closely together as equal partners. The home market principle is a key element of our collaboration, because it is precisely in smaller local economies that the small and mid-cap companies – in international comparison – receive the best support from their local exchanges.

While each of the member exchanges continues to support its local market under an independent management, at the international level, the four stock exchanges are now acting jointly as CEE Stock Exchange Group vis-à-vis all major professional market participants. Together, the Group members are engaged in numerous activities to increase the visibility of the four markets and to attract the attention of

  • institutional investors,
  • trading participants,
  • data vendors and
  • index licensees

to the capital markets of the member exchanges in the CEE region. The four stock exchanges profit from the close cooperation and the exchange of know-how within the Group as well as from a joint strong market presence.
